Notes:

Released in 1982 on CBS, Looking Out finds McCoy Tyner - the former John Coltrane Quartet pianist - in characteristically powerful form, blending modal jazz with Latin and African rhythmic influences. Tyner's percussive, harmonically rich piano style drives a stellar ensemble through a set of dynamic, spiritually charged compositions. A strong entry in his prolific 1980s output and an essential pick for fans of post-Coltrane jazz.
