Psyche are a Canadian synth-pop and dark wave duo formed in Edmonton in 1982, who found a particularly receptive audience in Europe throughout the mid-1980s. Contorting The Image is a 1986 12" EP released on the influential French label New Rose Records - a label known for championing post-punk, new wave, and alternative acts from both sides of the Atlantic.
