Pressing: JAP Reissue
Country: Japan
Released: 1974

Originally recorded in 1958, Brass And Trio is one of Sonny Rollins' most ambitious and distinctive albums – contrasting his tenor saxophone against a full brass orchestra on one side, and an intimate piano-less trio on the other. This 1974 Japanese Verve reissue on the MV series is a highly regarded pressing, known for its warm, audiophile-quality sound. A must for serious jazz collectors, even without insert or OBI strip.
