A rare and fascinating piece of Central American reggae and dancehall history, El Lover Boy by Chicho Man was released in 1989 on the Panamanian Sono Mundi label. Panama had a vibrant and largely undocumented reggae scene in the late 80s, heavily influenced by Jamaican dancehall but with a distinctly local Latin flavour. Original pressings from this scene are extremely hard to find outside of Panama, making this a genuine collector's rarity for fans of Caribbean and Latin reggae.
