Released in 1973, this self-titled album is one of the finest documents of Joy Fleming’s extraordinary talent — the Mannheim-born singer who became one of Germany’s most celebrated soul and blues voices of the 1970s. Blending raw blues feeling, soulful grooves and jazz-inflected rock, the album showcases her powerful, expressive voice at its most uninhibited. A sought-after German original in gatefold for collectors of European soul, blues and jazz-rock. Highlight tracks: Neckarbrücken Blues, Ein Lied kann eine Brücke sein.
