Easy Rider - Songs As Performed In The Motion Picture brings together Steppenwolf, The Byrds, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Roger McGuinn. The selection moves from driving rock to folk-tinged songs, capturing the film's open-road atmosphere.

Includes Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild" and "The Pusher", plus "If Six Was Nine" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
"The Weight" is performed by Smith on this LP, rather than The Band's version heard in the film.
