This 1984 soundtrack accompanies Giorgio Moroder's acclaimed restoration of Fritz Lang's 1927 silent sci-fi masterpiece Metropolis. Moroder replaced the original orchestral score with a synth-driven electronic soundtrack, featuring contributions from Freddie Mercury, Pat Benatar, Bonnie Tyler, Adam Ant, and Loverboy. The result is a fascinating time capsule of 1980s electronic pop meets expressionist cinema - and one of the more unusual entries in the Queen / Freddie Mercury discography.
