Don Nix was a Memphis-born multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who played a pivotal role in the Southern rock and soul scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Living By The Days (1971) is his debut solo album, recorded with an all-star cast of Muscle Shoals and Memphis session players. The record blends gritty blues rock with gospel warmth and Southern soul - a raw, deeply personal statement from one of the unsung architects of the Memphis sound.
