Recorded live at the legendary Montmartre Jazzhus in Copenhagen, this album captures Dexter Gordon during his celebrated European exile years – a period widely regarded as one of the most creatively fertile of his career. Gordon's warm, unhurried tenor saxophone tone and masterful storytelling phrasing are on full display, backed by a sympathetic rhythm section in one of Europe's finest jazz venues. An essential document of hard bop at its most authentic.
