Released in 1982 on the Austrian Blues Beacon label, Sugar Farm documents the raw, unaccompanied blues of Robert Pete Williams - a Louisiana prison farm worker whose self-taught guitar style and deeply personal songwriting made him one of the most distinctive voices in American folk blues. Discovered at Angola State Penitentiary in 1959, Williams went on to become a celebrated figure at blues and folk festivals worldwide. A rare Austrian original pressing of a true roots blues document.
