It was recorded from November 28 to December 12, 1978 at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas and mixed in January 1979 at Muscle Shoals Sound in Alabama; producers were Jerry Wexler and Barry Beckett. FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
It is a German Vertigo pressing from the 1979 release year with catalogue number 6360 170 and original inner sleeve. We do not guarantee that it is the very first run.

Who is "B. Bear" on keyboards?
The name stands for co-producer Barry Beckett, keyboard player of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect playback or overall appearance. For the sleeve, VG+ stands for light wear, here with additional shelf wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Dire Straits records?
Yes, for example the debut Dire Straits – Dire Straits, another copy of Dire Straits – Communiqué or Dire Straits – Love Over Gold. More titles are in our Rock collection.
