Newcastle's Raven were one of the most ferocious and technically accomplished acts to emerge from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and Stay Hard (1985) marked their major label debut on Atlantic Records. Produced by Michael Wagener, the album sees the band pushing into a more polished yet still powerful direction, blending speed metal aggression with hard rock hooks. A key record in the NWOBHM canon and a strong collector's piece. Highlight tracks: Stay Hard, Gimme Some Lovin', On and On.
