Released in 1981, Collision Drive is Alan Vega's second solo album, recorded after his groundbreaking work with Suicide and showcasing his deep love of classic American rock and roll. Stripping away the electronic minimalism of Suicide, Vega here embraces raw rockabilly energy and greaser swagger, channelling the spirit of Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran through his own confrontational, street-level lens. A visceral and underrated gem in the Vega catalog, and a rare German original pressing on Celluloid.
