Released in 1982, "African Queen" is the standout single from the Belgian new wave and funk outfit Allez Allez - a groove-driven, rhythmically infectious track that blends post-punk energy with funk and soul influences. Fronted by the distinctive vocals of Sarah Osborne, the band carved out a unique niche in the early 1980s European new wave scene, and this German original pressing on EMI Electrola is a fine collector's find.
