Description
Brocas Helm – Into Battle is the debut album by San Francisco heavy metal band Brocas Helm, named after a medieval helmet once held at the Rotunda museum in London. It was recorded at the Augustwolf Recording Facility in Walnut Creek, California, and released in the US in 1984 on First Strike Records; German label Steamhammer (SPV) licensed it for Europe. Its mix of epic metal and fantasy themes made the band a cult name in the underground. This copy is the 1984 German Steamhammer pressing.

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
The album was first released in the US in 1984 on First Strike Records (FSR 801). This record is the German licensed edition on Steamhammer from the same year, a contemporary first edition for Europe.
What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- stands for Near Mint minus, close to new with at most minimal signs of wear, which is the grade of the record. VG+ stands for Very Good Plus, light signs of wear, which is the grade of the sleeve. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
Where does the band name come from?
The name refers to the Brocas Helm, a medieval tournament helmet displayed at the Rotunda in Woolwich, London. Fittingly, many songs are about battles, knights and fantasy.
Do you have more Brocas Helm records?
Right now this is our only Brocas Helm album. More eighties heavy metal records are in our Metal collection.
