Description

Eberhard Weber – Later That Evening is an album by Stuttgart bassist Eberhard Weber on ECM (cat. no. ECM 1231). It was recorded in March 1982 at Tonstudio Bauer in Ludwigsburg, digitally engineered by Martin Wieland and produced by Manfred Eicher. Weber put together a new quintet for it with Paul McCandless on reeds, Bill Frisell on guitar, Lyle Mays on piano and Michael Di Pasqua on drums. All four long pieces are Weber’s own; the longest, “Death In The Carwash”, runs over 16 minutes and fills almost the entire first side. This copy is the 1982 German original pressing.
