Description

Elvis Presley – For LP Fans Only is a compilation released by RCA Victor on 6 February 1959, while Elvis was in the army in Germany. Nine of the ten tracks had previously been available only on singles, plus "Poor Boy" from the "Love Me Tender" EP. The selection runs from Sun recordings such as "That's All Right" and "Mystery Train" to 1956 RCA sides like "My Baby Left Me" and "Shake, Rattle And Roll". In the US it peaked at No. 19. This copy is a German reissue on RCA Victor with cat. no. LSP 1990; the year of this pressing is not stated.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in the US in 1959 as LPM 1990 (mono). This copy is a later German reissue with the stereo number LSP 1990.

Is "Trying To Get To You" on this record?
No. "Trying To Get To You" is on Elvis' 1956 debut album, not on "For LP Fans Only". Sun recordings here include "That's All Right", "Mystery Train" and "You're A Heartbreaker".

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Media NM-: the record is close to new, with at most minimal signs of play. Cover VG+: the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example A Date With Elvis, Good Rockin' Tonight (10") and Elvis (DE 1977). More titles are in our Beat / Rock & Roll collection.
