Description

Gary Burton Quartet – Country Roads & Other Places is an album by vibraphonist Gary Burton, recorded September 24–27, 1968 at RCA's Studio B in New York and produced by Brad McCuen; it was first released in 1969 on RCA Victor. With Jerry Hahn (guitar), Steve Swallow (bass) and Roy Haynes (drums), Burton blends jazz with country and folk influences; alongside his own pieces there are compositions by Swallow and Mike Gibbs, a Ravel prélude and the standard "My Foolish Heart".
