Description

Urban Dance Squad – Life 'N Perspectives Of A Genuine Crossover is the second album by Dutch crossover band Urban Dance Squad from Utrecht, released in 1991 in Europe on Ariola (cat. no. 211.994) and in the US on Arista. It was produced by the band with DJ Oum and recorded and mixed at ICP Recording Studios. Following the debut Mental Floss For The Globe (1989), it mixes rap, funk metal, breakbeats and scratching, tied together by four short interludes, "Life 'N Perspectives I–IV". FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is the 1991 European first edition on Ariola with catalogue number 211.994. A numbered, remastered reissue only appeared in 2016.

Why are some CD tracks missing from the LP?
The CD edition adds three bonus tracks ("Grand Black Citizen", "Duck Ska", "Wino The Medicineman"). The LP has the 14 tracks of the regular album.

What does Media NM- to VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
"NM- to VG+" means the record sits between Near Mint minus (close to new) and Very Good Plus (light wear). The VG+ sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Urban Dance Squad records?
Right now this is the only album by the band in our shop. Similar crossover and rap records are in our Hip-Hop collection.
