"Mad World" is the debut single from Tears For Fears, released in 1982 and one of the most haunting and enduring records of the synth-pop era. Written by Roland Orzabal and featuring Curt Smith's melancholic vocals over a sparse, atmospheric synth arrangement, the track reached the UK Top 3 and introduced the world to one of the decade's most significant acts. This German original pressing on Mercury is a fine collector's copy of a true classic.
