Formed as a side project by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits alongside fellow musicians Guy Fletcher, Steve Phillips, and Brendan Croker, The Notting Hillbillies delivered this warm, rootsy debut in 1990. Blending country, folk, and blues with effortless charm, the album feels like a front-porch jam session between old friends. Standout tracks include Your Own Sweet Way, Feel Like Going Home, and the laid-back shuffle of Railroad Worksong.
