Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in the US in 1965. This copy is a 1983 French reissue with the same catalogue number BST 84167.

What makes Point Of Departure special?
Hill's compositions with unusual forms and metres, plus one of Eric Dolphy's last studio recordings before his death in June 1964. The piece "Dedication" was originally titled "Cadaver".

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
