Released in 1981, Three Quartets is one of Chick Corea's most celebrated acoustic jazz recordings, featuring three distinct quartet configurations united by a shared spirit of spontaneity and swing. Recorded with Michael Brecker on tenor saxophone, Steve Gadd on drums, and Eddie Gomez on bass, the album showcases Corea at his most lyrical and compositionally refined. Highlights include the swinging opener "Quartet No. 1" and the introspective "Quartet No. 3."
