Savatage – Fight For The Rock (White Vinyl LP + 10" | EU Reissue | 2021)

Savatage – Fight For The Rock is the third studio album by Savatage, released on June 30, 1986 on Atlantic Records and produced by Stephan Galfas. Under pressure from the label the band recorded many catchy rock songs Jon Oliva had originally written for other artists, plus covers of Badfinger’s “Day After Day” and Free’s “Wishing Well”. The band later distanced itself from the album. The 2021 Ear Music Classics edition is remastered for vinyl. This copy is the limited collector’s edition on white 180g vinyl with a bonus 10" (45 RPM) holding three demos from the Bearsville sessions, new and factory sealed.

FAQ

What does “New & factory sealed” mean?
The record is unplayed and still in the manufacturer’s original shrink wrap, so it carries no Goldmine grade.

Is this the original pressing?
No. The original came out on Atlantic in 1986. This record is the limited 2021 Ear Music Classics reissue (cat. no. 0217046EMU).

What is on the bonus 10"?
Three demos from Bearsville Studios: “Fighting For Love” (an early version of “In The Dream”), “Washed Out” and “Stuck On You”. The last two appeared in 1985 on Power Of The Night.

Do you have more Savatage records?
Yes, for example Savatage – Fight For The Rock (black vinyl, 2021), Savatage – Power Of The Night (crystal clear, 2021) and Savatage – Hall Of The Mountain King (gold vinyl + 7", 2022). More titles are in our Metal collection.
