Savatage – Poets & Madmen is the eleventh and so far last studio album by Savatage, released on March 5, 2001. It was recorded in 1999 and 2000 at Soundtrack Studios and Studio 900 in New York and produced by Paul O’Neill with Jon Oliva, who sings all lead vocals again here. Its loose concept is inspired by the life and death of photojournalist Kevin Carter. This copy is the limited 2022 collector’s edition on glow-in-the-dark vinyl with a single-sided splatter 7" and booklet, new and factory sealed.

FAQ

What does “New & factory sealed” mean?
The record is unplayed and still in the manufacturer’s original shrink wrap, so it carries no Goldmine grade.

No. The original came out in 2001. This record is the limited 2022 Ear Music Classics reissue (cat. no. 0217050EMU).

What is on the splatter 7"?
The single-sided single has an extended version of “Awaken” that is only available in this edition.

Do you have more Savatage records?
Yes, for example Savatage – The Wake Of Magellan (black 2LP, 2022), Savatage – Handful Of Rain (2022) and Savatage – Edge Of Thorns (sun yellow 2LP, 2022). More titles are in our Metal collection.
