"Alice" is one of the early defining singles by The Sisters Of Mercy, released in 1983 on their own Merciful Release label. With its hypnotic drum machine pulse, Andrew Eldritch's baritone vocals, and Wayne Hussey's swirling guitar work, the track perfectly encapsulates the band's dark, atmospheric sound. A highly sought-after piece from the formative years of British goth rock.
