Released in 1983 on Virgin Records, Gang War is the debut album from Prince Charles And The City Beat Band — a UK-based collective fronted by Charles Augins that fused Funk, Soul, Electro, and early Hip Hop into a dancefloor-ready package. The title track became a cult favourite on the UK Funk and rare groove circuit, and the album remains a sought-after artefact of the early 80s British Funk scene. A must for collectors of electro-funk and rare groove.
