"Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)" marked a pivotal moment in Spandau Ballet's career - a bold shift from their early synth-pop sound toward a funkier, brass-driven groove that drew on soul and jazz influences. Released in 1981, the track became a UK Top 3 hit and helped define the New Romantic movement's more sophisticated, dancefloor-oriented direction. This German original pressing on Chrysalis / Reformation is a great find for any fan of the era.
