Pink Floyd – A Nice Pair combines the first two Pink Floyd albums, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (1967) and A Saucerful Of Secrets (1968), in one gatefold double album. The compilation was first released in December 1973 in the US and in January 1974 in the UK, after The Dark Side Of The Moon had made the band famous worldwide. Both albums were produced by Norman Smith. The Hipgnosis cover shows grids of photos, most of them visual takes on figures of speech.
