Description

Enrico Rava Quartet – Opening Night is a studio album by Italian trumpeter Enrico Rava, recorded in December 1981 at Tonstudio Bauer in Ludwigsburg (engineer Martin Wieland, producer Thomas Stöwsand) and released in June 1982 on ECM Records (cat. no. ECM 1224, 2301 224). Rava plays here with his Italian-French quartet: Franco D'Andrea on piano, Furio Di Castri on bass and Aldo Romano on drums. Alongside five of his own compositions, the programme includes the standard I'm Getting Sentimental Over You and Romano's Venise. This copy is the 1982 German original pressing.

No. Despite the title, these are studio recordings, made in December 1981 at Tonstudio Bauer in Ludwigsburg, where ECM recorded many of its productions.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
