Yukihiro Takahashi was the drummer and co-founder of Yellow Magic Orchestra, and Neuromantic (1981/1982) is widely regarded as his solo masterpiece – a sleek, sophisticated blend of synth-pop, new wave, and art-pop that stands alongside the finest electronic albums of its era. Featuring contributions from YMO bandmates Ryuichi Sakamoto and Haruomi Hosono, this UK & EU Alfa pressing brought Takahashi's visionary sound to Western audiences. An essential record for collectors of Japanese synth-pop and 80s electronic music.
