Released in 1985, What Does Anything Mean? Basically is the second studio album by Manchester post-punk and new wave act The Chameleons. A brooding, atmospheric masterpiece, the album builds on the promise of their debut with even more expansive guitar textures, introspective lyrics, and Mark Burgess's distinctive baritone vocals. Tracks like "Silence, Sea And Sky", "Perfume Garden" and "Home Is Where The Heart Is" are among the finest moments in the post-punk canon. This EU Original on Statik Records features a gatefold sleeve.
