Love Over Gold is the fourth studio album by Dire Straits, released in 1982. A bold artistic statement, it features just five tracks across two sides, with the epic 14-minute opener "Telegraph Road" standing as one of the band's greatest achievements. The album showcases Knopfler's most ambitious songwriting, blending intricate guitar work with cinematic arrangements. "Private Investigations" became a major hit, reaching number 2 in the UK charts.
