Description
Freddie Hubbard – Polar AC is an album by trumpeter Freddie Hubbard on CTI, first released in 1975 (CTI 6056). The tracks were recorded between September 1971 and October 1973 at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, produced by Creed Taylor, with arrangements by Don Sebesky and Bob James. Besides Cedar Walton's title track and Nat Adderley's "Naturally", Hubbard plays two soul hits by Thom Bell and Linda Creed and his own "Son Of Sky Dive". This copy is a 1985 French reissue (cat. no. No. The original was released by CTI in 1975 as CTI 6056. This copy is a 1985 French reissue numbered CTI 9031.
Why were the tracks recorded over two years?
Polar AC collects recordings from several CTI sessions between 1971 and 1973, so the drummers and arrangers change from track to track.
What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
