No. The original edition was released on MPS in 1969. This copy is a 1977 German reissue, cat. no. 0068.068, in a gatefold sleeve.

Why is every piece recorded with a different musician?
The album is conceived as a series of duo encounters: Mangelsdorff meets one partner from the international jazz scene at a time, from free jazz trumpeter Don Cherry to Coltrane's drummer Elvin Jones.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
