Released posthumously in 1972, Joplin in Concert captures Janis at her most raw and electrifying — two full live sets recorded with the Kozmic Blues Band (1969) and the Full Tilt Boogie Band (1970). Her voice tears through every track with an urgency that no studio recording could fully contain. From the ferocious Try (Just a Little Bit Harder) to a soulful Me and Bobby McGee, this double LP is an essential document of one of rock’s greatest live performers. Highlight tracks: Try (Just a Little Bit Harder), Me and Bobby McGee, and Piece of My Heart.
