Released in 1983, "My Foolish Friend" is a polished synth-pop single from Talk Talk's early period - showcasing the band's knack for melodic hooks and lush electronic production before their later artistic evolution. A fine example of early 1980s New Wave at its most accessible, with Mark Hollis's expressive vocals front and centre.
