Released in 1981, Round Trip is The Knack's third studio album, marking a shift towards a more polished New Wave sound while retaining the band's signature power pop energy. Produced by Jack Douglas, the album finds the Los Angeles quartet exploring a broader sonic palette, blending punchy guitar work with New Wave textures and melodic hooks. A solid entry in the band's catalogue and a fine example of early 1980s American power pop.
