Description

The Nice – Nice is the third album by the British trio led by Keith Emerson, released on 22 August 1969 on Immediate; in the US it appeared as "Everything As Nice As Mother Makes It". The band produced it themselves. Side A was recorded at Trident Studios, London, in mid-1969, side B live at the Fillmore East in New York on 9 and 10 April 1969, engineered by Eddie Kramer. Alongside their own pieces it features Tim Hardin's "Hang On To A Dream", an adaptation of Édouard Lalo and a twelve-minute version of Bob Dylan's "She Belongs To Me". This copy is the German stereo edition on Immediate (1C 062-90 524) in a gatefold sleeve.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
The album was first released in the UK on Immediate in 1969. This copy is the German Immediate edition numbered 1C 062-90 524, not a UK first pressing.

Why does the LP have only six tracks?
Side B consists of two long live recordings from the Fillmore East: "Rondo '69", based on Dave Brubeck's "Blue Rondo à la Turk", and Dylan's "She Belongs To Me", running over twelve minutes.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means record and sleeve show light signs of wear, while the record still plays cleanly. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more records by The Nice?
Yes, for example The Nice – Five Bridges (German 1970) or Keith Emerson With The Nice. More titles are in our Progressive Rock collection.
