Asia’s second album Alpha (1983) followed the massive commercial success of their debut and delivered more of the polished, hook-driven arena rock that made the supergroup – featuring John Wetton, Steve Howe, Carl Palmer, and Geoff Downes – one of the biggest acts of the early 80s. The single Don’t Cry became a worldwide hit, and the album topped charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
