Few albums have captured the world’s imagination quite like the Buena Vista Social Club. Recorded in Havana in 1996 under the direction of Ry Cooder, this legendary session brought together a group of veteran Cuban musicians — many of them long forgotten — and produced one of the most celebrated world music recordings of all time. Grammy Award-winning (1998), the album features Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, and Omara Portuondo at their finest.
