Released in 1977, Simple Dreams became one of Linda Ronstadt's biggest commercial triumphs, spending five weeks at number one on the Billboard 200. The album showcases her remarkable vocal range across a carefully curated set of covers, from Buddy Holly's "It's So Easy" to the Rolling Stones' "Tumbling Dice" and Warren Zevon's "Hasten Down the Wind." A quintessential late-70s pop-rock record, impeccably produced by Peter Asher.
