Widely regarded as one of the finest British albums of the 1980s, Steve McQueen is Prefab Sprout's second studio album and a masterclass in sophisticated pop songwriting. Produced by Thomas Dolby, the record showcases Paddy McAloon's extraordinary lyricism alongside lush, layered arrangements that blend synth-pop with jazz-inflected pop rock. Standout tracks include "Faron Young", "Appetite", and "When Love Breaks Down" — a timeless classic that remains one of the decade's most underrated gems. This EU original pressing includes the original inner sleeve.
