Description
Joe Henderson – Black Narcissus is an album by tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson on Milestone, produced by Orrin Keepnews and Henderson. It was made in two sessions in 1974 and 1975, partly in Paris with Joachim Kühn, Jean-François Jenny-Clark and Daniel Humair, partly in California with Jack DeJohnette; Patrick Gleeson adds synthesizer on several tracks. Besides new versions of "Black Narcissus" and "Power To The People" it includes the standard "Good Morning Heartache". The US edition came out in early 1977. This copy is the 1977 French original pressing (Milestone 9106, distributed by Musidisc).
