Description

Elvis Presley – Rock 'n' Roll is the German edition of the LP issued in the UK by HMV in 1956 (CLP 1093) as the counterpart of Elvis's US debut album. Its track selection differs from the US album, combining Sun recordings from Memphis (1954–55) such as "That's All Right" and "Mystery Train" with songs from his first RCA sessions in 1956, including "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Money Honey". The UK edition reached No. 1 on the UK album chart in 1956. This copy is the 1972 German RCA Victor reissue (LSP 10380).

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in the UK by HMV in 1956. This copy is the 1972 German RCA Victor reissue (LSP 10380).

How does it differ from the US album "Elvis Presley"?
The UK selection includes "Mystery Train", "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" and "Shake Rattle And Roll", which are not on the US debut; in turn some US tracks such as "Blue Moon" are missing here.

What does Media NM- to VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
Media NM- to VG+: depending on the spot, close to new to lightly used; occasional signs of use barely affect playback. Cover VG+: the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example Rock 'n' Roll (another copy, NM-), Elvis Presley and Rocker. More titles are in our Beat / Rock & Roll collection.
