FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1981 Canadian first edition on Sackville, cat. no. 3026.

Is this free jazz?
Not mainly. Shepp is known for his 1960s free jazz recordings, but here he plays standards and originals in a more traditional quartet setting.

What does Media "side 1 close to NM-, side 2 VG+" mean?
Side one is close to new with only minimal signs of use, side two shows light wear (VG+, Very Good Plus). The sleeve is also VG+. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Archie Shepp records?
Yes, for example Archie Shepp – Soul Song, Archie Shepp – Yasmina, A Black Woman, Archie Shepp / Bill Dixon – Peace. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
