Description
Bill Evans – Dig It! is a compilation of early Riverside recordings by pianist Bill Evans, released in the Netherlands by Fontana in 1964 as Vol. 4 of the "Jazz Club Series" (cat. no. 683 254 JCL). The tracks date from Evans's first years as a leader between 1956 and 1959, in trios with changing bassists and drummers and partly solo – including his own compositions "Displacement" and "Waltz For Debby" as well as standards such as "Autumn Leaves" and Sonny Rollins's "Oleo". The liner notes are by Alan Bates. This copy is the 1964 Dutch mono pressing with photo insert.
