Description

The Art Farmer Quartet – Warm Valley is an album by flugelhorn player Art Farmer on Concord Jazz (cat. no. CJ-212). It was recorded in September 1982 at Soundmixers in New York, produced by Carl E. Jefferson with Ed Trabanco as engineer, and released in 1983. Farmer leads a quartet with Fred Hersch on piano, Ray Drummond on bass and Akira Tana on drums through bebop classics, standards and ballads, including Duke Ellington's title track and Billy Strayhorn's Upper Manhattan Medical Group. Liner notes are by Leonard Feather. This copy is the 1983 US original.

Yes. This is the 1983 US first edition on Concord Jazz, catalogue number CJ-212.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Art Farmer records?
Right now this is the only Art Farmer album in stock. More mainstream modern jazz is in our Jazz collection.
