"Geno" is the debut UK number one single from Dexys Midnight Runners, released in 1980 as a heartfelt tribute to soul legend Geno Washington. Driven by a punchy brass section, Kevin Rowland's passionate vocals, and an irresistible energy that blurred the lines between new wave and classic soul, the track became one of the most distinctive hits of its era. This German original pressing on Odeon / EMI Electrola is a great find for any fan of the period.
