Description

Jaco Pastorius – Invitation is a live album by electric bassist Jaco Pastorius and his Word of Mouth big band, recorded September 1–4, 1982 at concerts in Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama and released in 1983 on Warner Bros. Records (cat. no. 92-3876-1). Pastorius produced it himself. Besides his own pieces such as "Continuum" and "Liberty City", the band plays Bronisław Kaper's "Invitation", Duke Ellington's "Sophisticated Lady" and John Coltrane's "Giant Steps", with soloists including Toots Thielemans and Othello Molineaux. This copy is the 1983 European original pressing with original inner sleeve.
